Sharon Krosch November 8, 2009 at 3:35 pm: Hello, I acquired a beautiful sandpainting by artist Danny Smith that I purchased from him in the 1970’s in Sedona Arizona. I have been looking all over the internet for some information about this wonderful artist, and cannot find anything. I did however find a Danny Smith Jr., but my painting does not reflect a Jr.
I was wondering if you had any information about this artist. The painting also reads in handwriting on the back, “Chaconda San”, and “Ship rock (another name behind shiprock that I cannot distinguish).”
